CHARACTER: aleksander morozova, alias "general kirigan", the darkling from leigh bardugo's shadow and bone trilogy, with a side of the netflix tv show. will likely mesh the canons together a bit. i'm caught up on everything tv- and books-wise (shadow and bone trilogy, crows duology, nikolai duology). canon point can be truly wherever & whenever.
TL;DR: immortal shadow summoner and military general at the head of an army of magic users. literal shady fucker, but also an absolute patriot and has a chip on his shoulder due to the victimisation of grisha in their world. has delusions of grandeur and really needs to be put in his place tbh. can amplify the abilities of other magic users.
BACKTAGGING: always yes! i can be pretty slow during the work week and life is a hellfire, so i will backtag into forever.
WRITING: present-tense prose preferred, but will happily match [ brackets ]
PHYSICAL CONTACT: he's definitely into using casual friendly touch as a way to create physical rapport, and can push the boundaries a bit wrt others' personal space

FIGHTING/INJURY yes! i mean, he can cut you in two with a shadow, but please do try.
GENRE INTERESTS: magneto but make it fantasy. people who start off with good intentions but wind up warped into brutality over time. arranged marriages and political alliances (shadow king & sun queen au?), and let's be real, some regency romance tropes, with balls and dances and horseback rides and all. trusted right-hand lieutenant feelings (and some bodyguard feelings) with ivan & zoya. the possible slow, slow, slow-burn softening of those thorny edges. immortality, and how it skews your ability to relate to the mortals left behind.
a disclaimer: the darkling is terrible and i really don't want to file down his flaws. he's a wounded man with a fucked-up childhood, sure, but i have no interest in woobifying him or saying he was a complete victim and just needs to be cradled tenderly or w/e. cool motive, still murder. although he's capable of being soft, emotional manipulation & deception & vindictiveness is also likely for him.
